My sister in law is repainting her condo. When she told me that she wanted gray walls, I was totally in favour. I immediately pictured something like this:
Rockport Gray with white trim:

But Jodi wanted something darker, like Chelsea Gray:

… and she absolutely DID NOT want white trim! Eeek! Now what?
Luckily, I like to do a lot of mindless Pinterest browsing research, and was able to find some new inspiration pics:

Jodi and I both love the gray walls with gray trim. Can’t wait to see how it turns out… the trim is already painted, and the wall colour is going on today!
White trim is awesome...who doesn't like white trim! BUT, I like what you've chosen as well ...grey trim with grey wall...that'll look really nice as well :) What brand and type of paint did you use? Matte/semi-gloss?
ReplyDeleteShe's using Benjamin Moore exterior latex semi-gloss for the trim. I think the walls are matte, or maybe eggshell finish.
DeleteLove it! Although I'm a bit obsessive about trim being consistent throughout a home. Maybe I need to loosen up :)
ReplyDeleteWow I've never thought about doing grey on grey but I looove it!!! Great idea. Xoxo Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteI love the gray on gray! I would never envision this to look as good as it does in the inspiration photos you shared. I hope you share the finished room with us! I know it will look great.
ReplyDeleteCool! It's great to try something different. I'm sure it will look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThe condo is looking GREAT! Main area is done and I have no white trim YAY :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow ...just took a painting break and am cruising around ...this looks fabulous!...hmmm
ReplyDeleteLove the white trim but the grey trim actually looks quite grand and regal - don't you think? x
ReplyDeleteLove the grey! I'm sure it's going to look fabulous, can't wait to see!!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! Can't wait to see the finish painting of the place. :)
